Doctors at NCR are conducting a research study for adults with uncontrolled high blood pressure who also have obesity or are overweight. The study will evaluate a once-daily oral medication that may support blood pressure control in this population.

The medication being studied is called Orforglipron. Unlike available GLP-1 receptor agonists, which are typically protein-based and given by injection, Orforglipron is a small molecule GLP-1 taken by mouth. The medication is being developed to support the treatment of many conditions, including type II diabetes and weight management. This study investigates the potential for Orforglipron to improve and maintain healthy blood pressure levels in participants who have obesity or are overweight.
