Doctors at National Clinical Research are conducting a prescreening study for individuals experiencing memory issues. The study is designed to detect early signs of memory and thinking problems and includes a blood test to measure a protein called pTau, which may be associated with Alzheimer’s disease. Since this is a pre-screening study, no medication will be provided. The purpose is to identify individuals who may be eligible for an upcoming study evaluating a new investigational medication that may reduce the buildup of beta-amyloid plaques, one of the hallmark changes observed in the brains of people with Alzheimer’s.
Each visit is expected to last approximately 60 minutes. Study activities include a consultation with the doctor to review your medical and memory history, a brief memory assessment and a blood draw.
