| Brief Summary: |
The purpose of this study is to test an investigational medication called linaclotide for people who have irritable bowel syndrome with constipation. Earlier studies have shown that linaclotide may make bowel movements more frequent and may loosen stools during bowel movements. |

- Patient has symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome.
- Patient has constipation
