| Brief Summary: |
National Clinical Research-Norfolk is conducting a study on Atherosclerosis (thickening of the artery wall due to plaque build-up). Accumulation of cholesterol and other fats in the plaque can break apart at the surface, which can cause blockage and lead to heart attack or a stroke. This study medication may decrease the risk of heart attack and stroke. |
| Key Inclusion / Exclusion Criteria: |
- Must have 3 risk factors:
Age Males>55, Females>65, current or past smoker, High Blood Pressure, High Cholesterol, Diabetes, Cardiovascular Disease
- Can not be claustrophobic
